I went again to Paris for a few days. It’s always good to be back in the city that I love. Discovering new places, seeing great expositions. The textile exhibition in Musée Art Moderne was, by far, the best expo that I once saw in Paris.
I came home with a lot of good memories, a lot of new working materials, a mind full of fresh inspirations, and a camera filled with pictures. Here are some of them.
This scarf is simular to scarf nr°3. I changed the colors a little bit, and only used a large pattern. It’s for a girl that I know since I was 12 years old. So funny she soon will wear one of my handwoven scarfs.
( very quick a new blogpost about scarf nr° 5. )
Since I started an extra specialization in weaving. I decided to make a database of all my weaving patterns. I made already a little book of all satin-patterns. With a picture and the explanation about how to make it.
I hope one day, I can publish a book about my love for weaving, and my work. Like the book about Sheila Hicks. This might be the start of it.
Two weeks ago it was the second edition of the ‘Pots and Paper’-project. It was a nice weekend filled with plants, beautiful postcards, macrame-plant-hangers, sweet friends, … . I enjoyed it a lot.
I still have a few plant hangers for sale. Here you can find them all. So let me know if you might be interested.
Some pictures by me, some by Christophe.
I’m preparing everything for a new Pots&Paper event this weekend at ‘Jardin Bohémien’ at Ghent. I’ve made a collection of planthangers and textile pieces. My atelier is a big mess, but I like it to spend most of my days up there.
Hope to see you all this weekend. Don’t forget to bring your own plant to swap for another one !
Happy plant days.
I will upload more pictures of the preparations and the event on my instagram. Feel free to have a look up there.
