Blankets.

The finishing touches of the blankets. They are ready to be installed in the shop. I’m so so exited.

I can’t believe that I was able to finish them in just a week, however the preparations took a long time. And it was not easy to find the right yarns, machines, colors, … . But I’m very pleased with the result, and (to be honest) I’m proud of myself. I really hope that these blankets will get a nice new home soon.

For sale at the designer days in Ghent. I’ll try to sell the left-overs online after the designer-days. For the people who live far away from me.

Preparations (2)

Weaving, drawing, choosing yarns and colors, …. . These are the things that keep me busy from the early mornings until the late evenings. Not only am I preparing the exhibition. I’m also working on a small limited edition of my blankets who I will offer for sale. They are all woven, and I only have to finish them with some embroidery. It’s so exiting, they will be for sale at the designer days in Ghent (BE).

Deadlines make me feel alive, and they give me extra energy to do new things.

Preparations

Preparing for an exhibition with 2 friends. There is still a lot to do, in just 2 weeks. But it’s good to change my minds, and it sometimes makes me even forget that I miss Paris so much. I hope my work will be finished in time, but if not, I promise that the exhibition will be great with the work of drawing-queen Mayken, and photography-angel Eefje !

There were important choices to be made last week. It was a battle between my mind who said that it was a great opportunity, and my heart who told me that I want to live for my dreams, and not for security. After a period of doubting. I chose to follow my heart, and try to make my dreams come true. Instead of security, Paris, … . It was the right choice, I’m ready for adventure now !

Flowers, as a present for myself. Because I made the right decision. And the first little step in a new project.

I’m enjoying Paris with every fiber I got in my body. Just one week left.
