Robbert’s place.

I wonder why all of my male friends have the most beautiful interiours ever.

Today I want to show you the house of Robbert, I know him for almost 10 years. And I’m happy he’s my friend. He lives together with his lover in a beautiful house in Antwerp, I simply love the colours, their furniture, and little touches of extravaganza. Almost forgot to mention the sheep in their hallway, fox in their livingroom and little cat Jenny who’s always sleeping on the couch.

Wished it was my home.

Last week was filled with lovely things.

First of all, I was intrigued by windows. Like in picture 3, it’s a window in the port of Ghent, It felt so surreal to look into a window, and see such a wondeful view.

Next to that I’m working with different textile-companies to make some of my designs. Yesterday I was making yarns, that’s so much fun ! I also did some industrial weaving and lasercutting. The pictures you see are still ‘work in progress’, so they need some finishing touches. But the 27th of June will be the opening of the exhibition, and that will be the first moment that my work will showed to the public. Feel free to come. More information about it later.

Today i’ll be present at ‘TOUR DE NORD’, it’s a streetfestival in Antwerp 2060 neighborhood. I’ll spread my words for strangers up there, and hope I can make someone happy with the words.

Boîte aux lettres.

Today is the last day of the new letter exhibition. Come and take a look at all our work. We even made a little shop where you can buy all kind of lovely letter-writing-tools. So if you are into writing today, let’s visit this charming café in the middle of ‘Borgerhout’ (Antwerp). They have some great gingertea, and what goes better with letterwriting then some good drinks, and nice company.

By the way, on the first picture. I don’t have a large “tumor” on my arm, it’s just my handkerchief that I always put in the sleeves of my cardigan. My grandmom always did that, and because of that I start doing it to. Because most of the time there are no pockets in my skirts or dresses. So this is the perfect solution (exept for the crazy looking arm ).

Traan.

I’m so so happy, because my new camera finally arrived, after 2 months of waiting. But we still need a little while to get to know eachother. I’m so happy about my new one, but at the same time a bit melancholic about my old camera. He isn’t longer travelling with me in my handbag, but lays down at home. Hope he doesn’t mind.

Today I went to ‘Valerie Traan’, it’s a beautiful galery, so if you once are in Antwerp you should visit that place. When I was walking home I found this poor pigeon, he couldn’t fly anymore. So I took him home with me, and will try to make him better. I have to take care that my cats will not take him, because they are real hunters.

Oh, I still have to tell you all that I have a new idea about the shop I’ll start soon. It will be a pop-up-web-store, temporary, one who will exist for a little while. Because I think this kind of shop fits better to my ideas about the future, and my busy year. What do you think ?

Under the tree.

28°C, that’s the temperature here in Belgium. Summer. It’s a bit to hot for me, so I prefer the shadow. Today I spent a few hours on a bench in the city, under the trees. It was lovely. I finished a new doily, and I actually love it.
This evening I will write some new letters to the ones who didn’t received one yet. Especially for that I bought myself some new beautiful tapes. Look forward to write again.

Walk and collect.

I love walking in the city, it makes me feel free. I started collecting feathers, because they are so beautiful. I only found some grey feathers from pigeons, and hope, one day, I’ll find some colourfull ones. This morning I found a new feather (look at the little walk-walk-walk-movie) and a blue horse during my walks.

Helder.

Had a lovely evening with my dear friend Sophie. We went for a pie, discovered a lovely shop called “Helder”, made a little walk. Found some amazing blossom, and couldn’t resist to take some of them home with me. So perfect.

My favourite waste of time … . (2)

drinking coffee at ‘La chascona’.

I love to go to that wonderful place in the middle of Antwerp. It feels like being home, can sit there for hours and hours. So if you once visit Antwerp, than ‘la chascona’ is the perfect place to drink one of their delicious latte’s and eat a piece of pie. Oh, and I almost forgot to tell you that they always play lovely music on their turntable and the owners are such a nice people..

A few days ago I went to this lovely place with Elise. We had a special tea with orange, marmelade and ginger. Mmm.

I also give myself a newyears-present, a beautiful plant called peperomia polybotrya. He’s really beautiful, and he’s deep green colour is just perfect. Love to see him on my new couset that I found on my parents attic.

Fleur.

Today is my moms birthday, so I went to city to buy her some of her favourite flower, Tulips. I love to buy flowers and walk with them in my arms along the little streets, … . Then I always feel like a flowergirl, and today I was dreaming about having an own flowershop. Would be great I guess. Up here you can watch a little movie from my walk today.
